Revelation 5

Mike here...

Well it has been far too long my friends since I have blogged on my passage through Revelation.

In Revelation 5 we see another scene in Heaven. While the central focus is on this book that no one except the "Lamb" is able to open it I also find a great reminder in this chapter.

That is the fact that Christ has paid the price for all of our sins and offers us redemption to our Heavenly Father through a relationship with Him.

In verse 9 of chapter 5 we find this passage:

9And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

10"You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth."

Through these tumultuous and often confusing times let's remember as believers in Christ that he has paid the price for our sins and is deserving of our lives and our continual praise.

To Him be the Power, the Glory, forever and ever

Mike

There are some very interesting questions we must ask about this vision of the throne room, to truly understand the timing of these events.

1) Why was "no man found" when this diligent search was made? John saw this vision around 95 AD and Jesus has been risen for many years.

2) Why was Jesus not seen at the right hand of the Father, when many verses tell us that is where He should have been?

3) Why was the Holy Spirit in the throne room, when Jesus said He would send Him down as soon as He arrived?

Answer these three questions correctly, and you will have the correct timing of the first seal.
