Nebuchadnezzar's dream image in a new light...

A Stone cut without hands destroys all stones that were fashioned to form the image of a Man…

Acts 4:10-12 - 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 11 He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Daniel 2:34 – A stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them.

There are some who are trying to convince you that the way to God and the way to please God is by going back and keeping all of the Old Testament commandments…  Or they say…  Try as best as you can to keep the Old Testament commandments… That honors and pleases God.  It all sounds good…  Maybe I shouldn’t commit adultery, maybe I shouldn’t lie, maybe I shouldn’t covet, maybe I should keep the Passover, maybe I should do all the feast days, maybe I should do that…  And they are telling you that pleases God…  And in some cases they hint at…  “Actually God loves you better then all these “Grace People”…”  Here is the problem…  According to the scriptures…  If you break 1 law…  You are guilty of breaking all the laws…  You’ve broken the whole law…  The law of the Old Covenant has approximately 618 laws…  Let’s say for good measure…  You keep 617 of the laws and 1 of them you break…  Did you know that you are under the same curse as the guy who breaks all of them???  It doesn’t matter…  So by thinking that well…  I’m keeping some of these laws I’m actually pleasing God better then all you people over there…  It’s a lie…  God requires strict obedience to every law that He gave… And there was only 1 that did that…  There was only ever 1 who pleased God by keeping the law and that was His son Jesus Christ…  So what does that leave us with?  “The New Covenant of Grace”…  I’d like to make a connection here in the Bible… I think the Bible is teaching that there is a connection… between these 10 toes… and the 10 commandments…

Daniel 2:42 as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle.

Specifically mentions the toes…  How many toes?  10…

I’m going to make the connection between the 10 toes, 10 horns on the beast, the 10 horns on the dragon, and the 10 commandments…  Not that I’m saying that the law is bad…  Romans 7:16 - But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.  However, you can’t do it…  You can’t be perfect and obey the 10 commandments…  You’ll never measure up…  And since I can’t do it…  Since I can’t keep all the 10 commandments, I must rely on the grace of God…  Trying to obey the 10 commandments as a means to attain salvation…  This is nothing more than a works salvation system…  And most, if not all, of the religions of the world are tied to it…  It’s a system that says, “I will do and please God.”  It’s a lie…  It’s a set-up…  If you do this, and if you do that … Then God will bless you… If you keep the 10 commandments God will be pleased with you, and if you break 1 of them… then you’re not going to heaven… It’s all about how you can do righteousness, and the problem is we can’t do it…  So according to the scriptures… The 10 toes of the image in Daniel of this final kingdom coincide with the 10 Horns which are 10 Kings and they represent something that has dominion over mankind…

Daniel 7:7-8 after this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttering great boasts.

Notice the Iron teeth… 4th Kingdom… 10 horns, feet, 10 toes… related to 4th Kingdom of the Image.  Diverse… Now let’s look at:

Revelation 17:12-14 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. 13 These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”

Okay…  So here are the 10 toes, they are represented by the 10 horns, and 10 kings… Now, Kings have dominion… anything that wears a crown signifies having a dominion over people… These 10 kings, have dominion over mankind… They have 1 mind… Now, it is the 10 kings, the 10 horns, the 10 toes that give their power and their strength to the beast.  What is it that is the strength of “SIN”???  These 10 kings give their strength to the beast.  Think about this…  This entire image that Nebuchadnezzar had, the Gold, the Silver, the Bronze and the Iron is being held up and sustained by 10 toes… That’s it!!!  So where did the stone that was cut without hands attack it at?  Yep you guessed it…  The 10 toes…  And when it removed the strength of this image… They all fell… So verse 14 again above (These will wage war against the Lamb…) Think about what Jesus said… The spirit truly is willing, but the flesh is weak… You know what is wrong with the flesh?  It’s under the bondage and curse of the 10 commandments… which we can not keep… and our body our mind is constantly fighting us coveting and wanting to do the things which we are commanded not to do… we are constantly at war… and so these 10 kings, the 10 commandments, the law are enmity against Christ, and these shall make war with the Lamb… and the Lamb will overcome them!!!  Grace conquers the curse of the Law… For He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings… He destroys the power of the 10… The Lamb, the stone cut without hands overcomes the 10 toes, the 10 horns, the 10 kings…  Nebuchadnezzar’s image is of the “Man of Sin”, the Lawless one…  He stands on the 10 toes which gives him stability dominion over mankind…  The 10 toes, 10 commandments are known as the “Law of Sin”…  The Man of Sin is held up by the Law of Sin and death…  And there you have it… Christ came to restore life, not to bring death, but conquer death…  Christ’s resurrection is what conquered death and sin, and by believing in Jesus we have life… The life that Adam and Eve had before they sinned – Life Eternal!!!
