Mike here....

An article was brought to my attention yesterday that I found interesting.

It is out of China regarding a one world currency.

Here is the article if you are interested.

The one quote that I found most interesting is identified as a goal.

"Set up a settlement system between the SDR and other currencies. Therefore, the SDR, which is now only used between governments and international institutions, could become a widely accepted means of payment in international trade and financial transactions. "

So apparently, governments have already been trading in a "Reserve Currency" and this article encourages the strategy of broadening that to all commerce.

The relevance of China in Biblical Prophesy is a bit fuzzy at best but what I do think is important is to remember that they are holding a large percentage of America's National Debt. I believe that will give them an important "vote" in this discussion of a one world currency. The thing to watch is who is in control of that currency and what are the strings attached to using it.

Keep on shinning to this unbelieving world my fellow believers!

EU Reaches Deal on Lisbon Treaty

Curt Here...

It looks like the EU leadership in Brussels have come to an agreement with the country of Ireland. This new agreement will vastly improve the chances that the second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty in Ireland will pass. This vote in Ireland is scheduled for October of this year. If it passes it will be one of the last hurdles and it could pave the way for the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty by the first of the year.

If the Lisbon Treaty is implemented it will create two new leadership positions within the EU. It will create the position of EU president, and a position called a foreign minister. It is clear from reading the Lisbon Treaty and the job descriptions of each position that the position of foreign minster would be the real position of power within the EU, even though the title of president sounds more powerful. You can read about here..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon_treaty and here..http://www.euractiv.com/en/future-eu/choosing-europe/article-171837

Of course the leading candidate for the position of foreign minster is Javier Solana.

I still have serious doubts as to whether or not the Lisbon Treaty will ever be implemented. I don't think that the Lisbon Treaty has to come into effect for the advancement of Biblical prophecy. I say this because Recommendation 666 would give all of power needed to fulfill Biblical Prophecy to one individual in the event of an emergency. You can read about it here... http://www.assembly-weu.org/en/documents/sessions_ordinaires/txt/2000/jun00_txts_adopted.php#P51_3072

I guess we will have to wait and see how it all plays out.

EU Reaches Deal on Lisbon Treaty

Friday's deal in Brussels paving the way forward for a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty in Ireland is the most important decision taken in Europe this year. The treaty, which will bring widespread reforms to the European Union and give its institutions greater power, could be go into effect before the end of the year.

It is part of the ritual of European Union summits for the leaders of the 27 member states to pat themselves firmly on the back. Each one then explains how proud he or she is of what they were able to achieve for their country.

Friday proved to be no exception, with Chancellor Angela Merkel stating that the planned European financial regulations watch dog had been designed in a way that pleased Germany. She said that there had been "considerable movement" on the part of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who has been perceived as a sort of defense attorney for London's bankers.

But Merkel's assessment of the agreement with Ireland over a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty was noticeably reserved. In such events, Merkel is usually known for using terms like "historic," but on Friday she spoke of a "further hurdle" being cleared, "no more and no less"

Nevertheless, the compromise is the most important decision taken this year in European policy because it means that, after years of painstaking negotiations, a breakthrough for a new EU may be just around the corner. It is now likely that the Lisbon Treaty will go into effect by the end of the year. Then the EU would get a president, a foreign minister and the role of the European Parliament would be strengthened considerably.

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen announced the referendum would be held during the first week of October. Public opinion polls currently indicate that Irish voters would likely approve the Lisbon Treaty this time around, following their rejection in a first referendum one year ago. Cowen said the European Council had given Ireland "firm legal guarantees" and that he was "confident we now have a solid basis to go to the Irish people and to ask them again for their approval for Ireland to ratify the treaty so that Europe can move on."

The EU has provided guarantees to Ireland that it will remain independent in determining tax policies, military neutrality and abortion law (Ireland has one of Europe's most restrictive abortion policies). The sovereignty guarantees are expected to be anchored in EU law as a treaty protocol in the mid-term future.

Netanyahu Says 'Palestinian State' but Adds Numerous Conditions

Curt Here...

Today Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhu gave his much anticipated speech about the future of peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. This speech was an obvious response to President Obamas speech given last week in Cairo, Egypt.

In that speech President Obama called on Israel to start immediate negotiations towards a two state solution and peace in the Middle East. Today, Netanyahu agreed to do just that, but with some necessary conditions that the Palestinians must meet. One of these conditions is that the Palestinians must recognize the State of Israel.

Asking your enemy who claims to be a partner in peace, that they simply recognize your right to exist is not unreasonable. As a matter of fact, this is a condition that you would expect to be met from a group of people who say they are serious about peace. Simply put by Netanyahu "Even the moderate Palestinians, even now, are unwilling to say the simplest thing: Israel is the state of the Jewish People and it will stay that way. In order to achieve peace one needs courage and honesty on both sides – not just the Israeli side. The Palestinian leadership must recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people.”

This is a brilliant move by Netanyahu. As I have stated in previous blog entry's and it really is no mystery, the Palestinians will absolutely refuse to recognize the State of Israel. With Netanyahu stating that Israel will agree to most of the Palestinians demands including a state of their own, but first, the Palestinians must recognize Israel, it exposes the Palestinians and their true agenda. This agenda has and always will be the destruction of Israel.

I believe the Palestinians were attempting to accomplish this destruction under the guise of peace. Now that this has been exposed, it could very well lead to war and the EU and the rest of the International community forcing Israel to give the Palestinians a state of their own.

Netanyahu Says 'Palestinian State' but Adds Numerous Conditions

IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu uttered the words "Palestinian state" in his speech Sunday evening, in a 45-minute speech that mixed tough Zionist statements with talk of peace and conciliation.

“I turn to you, our Palestinian neighbors," he said, "let us start negotiations for peace immediately. I say to you – we want to live with you in peace and good neighborly relations. I want our children will dream of a better future and realize it. That we will put our energy into plowshares and pruning scissors, not swords... I do not want war. No one in Israel wants war. Let us join hands and work at peace. There is no end to the flourishing we can bring to our two nations."

The root of the conflict

"The simple truth," he added however, "is that the root of the conflict is the refusal to accept the Jewish people’s right to exist in its historic homeland. Whoever thinks that the enmity to Israel is the result of our occupying Judea and Samaria is confusing cause and effect." He then enumerated instances of Arab belligerence against the Jews in the Land of Israel before 1967.

The closer we come to a peace the more the Palestinians move away, he said. "Every retreat by us was met with thousands of suicide terror bombings and rockets."

"We vacated the Gaza Strip to the last centimeter and received a rain of missiles on our communities and our children. Hamas and Hizbullah keep saying that their aim is to free Akko, Beersheva and Haifa. Even the moderate Palestinians, even now, are unwilling to say the simplest thing: Israel is the state of the Jewish People and it will stay that way.”

He added: "In order to achieve peace one needs courage and honesty on both sides – not just the Israeli side. The Palestinian leadership must recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people."

Tension between Obama and Israel heating up

Mike here.....

I found this article on the AOL home page. You can cut and paste into your browser the following link if your interested in reading the entire article.

http://news.aol.com/main/politics/article/obama-feet-up-photo/522634

The main thrust of the article has to do with Obama being photographed with his feet on his desk showing the soles of his shoes....

But here is the quote that really caught my eye.

Israel's Channel One TV reported that Netanyahu was told Tuesday by an "American official" in Jerusalem that, "We are going to change the world. Please, don't interfere." The report said Netanyahu's aides interpreted this as a "threat."

Wow, that is a bold statement. It is clear the Obama regime has very large goals in mind and they are now posturing against anyone who is in the way. I find myself asking, what is Obama going to do if Israel doesn't head his warning?

It sure seems like the intensity of these "talks" are escalating!

Netanyahu Plans Major Policy Speech Next Week

Curt Here...

The article posted below says that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will deliver a major policy address next week detailing how he thinks peace can be achieved in the Mideast. This speech will be in response to President Obama's speech that was given last week in Cairo, Egypt.

In that speech President Obama made it very clear that he believes Israel must freeze West Bank settlement construction and then Israel must negotiate towards Palestinian statehood. The Palestinians believe that Israel must do this first before any chance of peace in the Mideast can occur.

President Obama and many other international leaders, believe that Israel's past leaders have made commitments towards this goal. These agreements include the Road Map for Peace and the ENP agreement with the EU.

Now, the Netanyahu Coalition Government must live up to these past agreements, even though Netanyahu was elected stating that he did not believe that portions of these agreements were the right course for the future of the Nation of Israel. He has stated this publicly for quite some time.

To compound things this article also shows that the Bush Administration made an agreement with past Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, that allowed Israel to continue to build in some existing settlements in the West Bank and any future peace agreement would acknowledge this. Now that Obama is in power he says these past agreements between Sharon and Bush are invalid.

It is amazing to me that according to President Obama, Israel must live up to all agreements made by past Israeli governments, but the US does not have to live up to our past administrations agreements.

It should be quite interesting to see exactly how Netanyahu addresses this hypocritical stance by President Obama.

Netanyahu plans major policy speech next week

JERUSALEM – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday he will deliver a major policy address next week laying out his proposed road to Mideast peace, after coming under stiff U.S. pressure to freeze West Bank settlement construction and endorse Palestinian statehood.

Netanyahu offered no hint of what he might say. Bound by his hardline coalition and his own ideology, the Israeli leader has resisted the U.S. demands so far, deepening an unusually public faceoff with Israel's most important ally.

"It must be understood, we seek peace with the Palestinians and with the states of the Arab world while trying to reach as much understanding as possible with the United States and our friends abroad," the Israeli leader said at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting.

"Next week I will make an important policy speech in which I will present to the citizens of Israel our principles on achieving this peace and security," he said.

The Palestinians want the West Bank and Gaza Strip for their future state and say they won't renew peace talks until Israel agrees to freeze settlement construction and negotiate Palestinian statehood.

President Barack Obama's administration hopes that halting settlement expansion would encourage the Arab world to make overtures toward Israel, as well as improving U.S. relations with Arab states. In speeches last week in Egypt and Europe, Obama pressed hard for a settlement freeze and a two-state solution.

Israel has claimed that it reached unofficial agreements with former President George W. Bush's administration to keep building in some existing settlements. It has also cited a 2004 letter signed by Bush saying any peace deal would recognize "new realities on the ground" in the West Bank, seen as a reference to main settlement blocs close to Israel.

Many of the understandings were reached between 2001 and 2003, according to Dov Weisglass, who was a top aide to then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The Bush administration agreed to allow construction within the boundaries of existing settlements, Weisglass told Army Radio.

However, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said on Sunday that the White House would not recognize past informal understandings. "That was never made a part of the official record of the negotiations," Clinton said in comments broadcast on ABC-TV.

The U.S. pressure is pushing Netanyahu into a difficult position, caught between preserving Israel's crucial alliance with Washington while placating his coalition government, dominated by hardliners. Netanyahu's own long-held commitment to Israeli rule over the West Bank is also a factor.

Revelation 5

Mike here...

Well it has been far too long my friends since I have blogged on my passage through Revelation.

In Revelation 5 we see another scene in Heaven. While the central focus is on this book that no one except the "Lamb" is able to open it I also find a great reminder in this chapter.

That is the fact that Christ has paid the price for all of our sins and offers us redemption to our Heavenly Father through a relationship with Him.

In verse 9 of chapter 5 we find this passage:

9And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

10"You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth."

Through these tumultuous and often confusing times let's remember as believers in Christ that he has paid the price for our sins and is deserving of our lives and our continual praise.

To Him be the Power, the Glory, forever and ever

Obama Seeks Common Cause With Muslim World

Curt Here...

Today President Barack Obama made his highly anticipated speech to the Muslim world in Cairo, Egypt. An Iranian cleric said that the speech was "an initial step for removing misconceptions." President Obama said the speech was about speaking the truth and "seeking a new beginning."

I believe it could be much more than that. You see during his speech President Obama called for a settlement freeze in the West Bank and for Israel to do their part in the creation of an independent Palestinian state. To his credit President Obama did say that the Palestinians must recognize Israel as a nation, but hasn't this been requested of the Palestinians for 60 years? Is this really that hard for the Palestinians if they are serious about peace?

I find it very frustrating that pressure from the US and the rest of the world continues to be applied to Israel for them to make progress towards a two state solution, when the Palestinians refuse to simply acknowledge that Israel has the right to exist. So why does our President continue to pressure Israel?

Sadly, it sounds to me that our President's "new beginning" is the beginning of the end of our steady relationship with Israel. The scriptures are very clear, according to Zechariah 12:3 that eventually all nations will be gathered against Israel.

Zechariah 12:3

"It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

It looks like the US is starting to become one of these nations, and if we really are close to the return of Christ, then it wont be long until the US fully abandons Israel.

CAIRO – Invoking the Quran and his rarely used middle name, Barack Hussein Obama declared Thursday that America has a common cause with Islam and never will be at war with the faith — an overture intently watched by the Muslim world and welcomed in unlikely quarters. An Iranian cleric called the president's speech "an initial step for removing misconceptions."

Obama spoke at a seat of Islamic learning, his 55-minute address suffused with respect for touchstones of the religion. He said the time had come to "speak the truth" and "seek a new beginning."

"America and Islam are not exclusive," he said, "and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings."

Obama made no specific references to his predecessor in the White House during his Cairo University speech, but others quickly did.

"There is a change between the language of President Obama and previous speeches made by George Bush," said Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for Hamas. But he added that Obama did not specifically note the suffering in Gaza following the three-week Israeli incursion earlier this year.

"So all we can say is that there is a difference in the statements, and the statements of today did not include a mechanism that can translate his wishes and views into actions," said Barhoum, whose group the U.S. considers a terrorist organization.

....The Israeli government issued a statement saying it, too, hoped for a new era. But it skirted any reference to Obama's calls for a settlement freeze in the West Bank and the creation of an independent Palestinian state — demands that Israel's hawkish prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, continues to reject.
