According to this latest article that I will post a link to, Hizbollah is considering attacking Israel. Of course both Hizbollah and Hamas have direct ties to Iran, so this whole thing could blow up rather quickly if the wrong things happen.

www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/129068

Curtthe70thweekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11275185162448311229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576248543372108135.post-87752014806377850892008-12-28T08:20:00.000-08:002008-12-28T08:20:00.000-08:00Wow, between Christmas, Bowl Games, going to the s...Wow, between Christmas, Bowl Games, going to the snow on Saturday and not having CBS in the Dish package I missed all of this.

So, frustrating that these issues are not reported on more clearly here in the US.

This is huge. I wonder if Israel is regretting giving up the Gaza Strip yet. Curious, how do you see Damascus getting pulled in?

Mikethe70thweekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11275185162448311229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576248543372108135.post-82482476102492780002008-12-27T15:06:00.000-08:002008-12-27T15:06:00.000-08:00Hypocrisy in Action: Where were Egypt, Russia, OIC...Hypocrisy in Action:
Where were Egypt, Russia, OIC, EU, Britain, Sarkozy, US & Austria when Hamas was pounding Israel with daily barrage of rockets?

http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/2008/12/hypocrisy-in-action.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576248543372108135.post-44281876937432816182008-12-27T13:23:00.000-08:002008-12-27T13:23:00.000-08:00Statement from Javier Solana.COUNCIL OF THE EUROPE...Statement from Javier Solana.

COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
Brussels, 27 December 2008
S414/08
Statement by
Javier SOLANA,
EU High Representative for the CFSP,
on violence in and around Gaza

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), made the following comments on the current violence in and around Gaza:

“I am extremely concerned at the current violence and bloodshed in and around Gaza and, first of all, I want to express my sincere condolences to the families of the Palestinian and Israeli victims.

I call for an immediate cessation of military actions on both sides. The EU has repeatedly condemned rocket attacks against Israel. The current Israeli strikes are inflicting an unacceptable toll on Palestinian civilians and will only worsen the humanitarian crisis as well as complicate the search for a peaceful solution.

There is no military solution to the situation in Gaza. I therefore urge the parties to return to the calm as brokered by Egypt and call on everybody in the region to use their influence to encourage restraint and prevent recourse to violence.

Passages in and out of Gaza should be reopened to allow humanitarian and regular commercial flows. As we have already said, the EU is ready to resume its Monitoring Mission at Rafah.”

http://www.consilium.europa.eu/ueDocs/cms_Data/docs/pressData/en/declarations/105079.pdf

Curtthe70thweekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11275185162448311229noreply@blogger.com
